2 Terabytes of Porn
I recently had to get a new hard drive, and I said to my fella something like, “Who in the world needs all this storage space? 500 GB? I’ve got a good amount of crap on my current hard drive, which is 127 GB, and still, that’s only filling up a 3rd of the capacity.”
My fella then informed me that he personally has a couple terabytes worth of porn.
No, I’m not freaked out about that… I dig porn myself… when I first got on the internet, years ago, I hoarded a bit of porn myself. It didn’t take long for me to realize though that the porn wasn’t really going to go away, so there wasn’t any point in saving it (except for that one seriously nasty vid I had one time… I’ve never found it again, even my fella doesn’t have it in his 2 terabyte collection, I miss that vid). Plus, once I’ve seen a depraved exhibition of… depravity… it’s not likely to be forgotten, so future replays are done in my imagination, where I can improve it.
What I learned though, is that the main reason hard drive’s have such a high capacity is pretty much just for men’s porn. It’s not that women don’t watch porn, it’s just that we don’t need to keep it forever.
I guess my problem is that porn is like alcohol (which I also indulge in WAYYYY too much), in that it becomes impossible to get the same effect from the same thing over time. It is the law of diminishing returns. At some point, even the best porn becomes boring. So why keep it? And holy hell, 2 terabytes? That is an ass load of porn. Get it? Ass load? Ha.
On a serious note, I do not see the point of maintaining a porn library that large. As a wise man once told me – show me the hottest girl in the world, and I will show you a guy who is tired of fucking her.
I assume the same concept applies to porn. Show me the best porn in the world, and I will show you a guy who is tired of it.

I like porn, too, but like you I don’t need to keep it. Once I watch it, I mean the mystery is gone.

lol. Sadly, his forearms aren’t mighty. In his defense, he told me that I got it wrong, that it’s only 1 terrabyte (still an assload) , and most of it he gets off of newsgroups, so it’s a ‘get it now while you can’ type of thing, and it’s almost always huge file sizes, high image quality and whatnot… I know, excuses, excuses….

I watch a sizeable amount of porn myself. I suppose if I’d saved it ALL I’d have a terrabyte collection, but as you said it usually gets deleted a couple minutes after I “finish”.
